Why LOGIS

Top-Tier Software

LOGIS invests in best of breed application software from national vendors such as Oracle, Sprypoint and Central Square. Primarily used by large government organizations and corporations, these top tier applications are often unaffordable by local government entities. Through our shared IT environment, this superior level of software functionality is made available to our members.

Low Cost

Costs for technology solutions and applications are shared among members, but that’s only part of the story. When you join LOGIS, you get cost-saving access to all of the systems that go into providing that application: software, licenses, support, servers, backup systems and disaster recovery systems. This takes a great deal of operational burden and worry off LOGIS members.

Local Support & Service

When our members contact LOGIS for technical support, either by phone or on the Web, their call is not being routed to a call center in a far away land. Every one of our member support staff is based right here in Minnesota with extensive knowledge of the applications and systems you are employing in your organization.

Member Controlled

Each LOGIS member is allowed to be on the LOGIS board of directors. The Board, which controls LOGIS, is made up of a variety of member city and county professionals, from police chiefs to city managers to finance directors. In addition to serving on the Board, each member is invited to join application working groups and provide thoughts and ideas for improving each technology product in the future.
